I was really looking forward to Javen’s senior photo shoot because he was going to bring his cap and gown. I absolutely love getting cap and gown photos for seniors so I was over the roof for this photoshoot.

We were walking up to the location when a cop pulled up and asked what Javen was doing out of school. His mom, Amber, explained that we were doing a photoshoot and the cop said congratulations!! The cop pulled away and as we kept walking, the cop went into reverse and pulled up to us again. I got a little nervous because in my head I was wondering what I could be doing wrong. She looked at me and asked for my business card, I didn’t realize she was talking to me. I pointed to myself and said, “Me??” I said, “You want my business card?” She nodded her head, and I immediately rushed through my bag to get one. I handed it to her and told her I would love to take pictures for her. I was so so so excited because this was the first time anyone has ever asked me for my business card!!

We got to walking to the location, I was telling myself that I needed to keep calm and focus on the details. I have a bad habit of getting stressed and moving around a lot so I really wanted to focus on the little things. I’m delighted I did too because I felt more comfortable taking things slower than I usually do. I made sure the tassel was ALWAYS on point.

I was getting to know Javen at the photoshoot. Javen is graduating from Atascocita High School and is going to Sam Houston University!! Congratulations Javen on all of your accomplishments this year and I know you will do great things at SHU. I hope you enjoy these sneak peeks as I finish up your gallery :)
